Our company was founded a few years ago, when we began restoring our first windmill, driven by the lack of construction firms willing to take on small projects in Portugal.
This is how Zerbini & Martinez Projects Lda was born—a small family business run by my wife and me.

The response to that first restoration was beyond anything we expected. As soon as we shared the photos on social media, owners of historic windmills reached out, entrusting us with their cherished treasures. Each project became a new chapter, each windmill a unique soul waiting to shine again.

Today, almost four years later, we are proud to have restored and transformed five windmills into enchanting vacation rentals—two of them our own—alongside several renovations of beautiful, timeworn houses.

I personally devote myself to reviving the ancient mechanical components and the wooden structural elements. We work hand in hand with talented local artisans who specialize in traditional windmill craftsmanship, blending centuries-old techniques with modern materials and technologies to ensure longevity, authenticity, and spirit.
